March 13, 2001 - Dinner at Albert &
Stella's |
Today
we went out for breakfast, went car shopping and to the store. We
almost bought a Dodge Caravan and drove home. However, we would have
taken a few more days to get home and we know everyone can hardly wait for
Thursday as it is. So we tried talking Uncle Jimmy into buying
another one, no go. After our naps it was off to cousin Albert and
Stella's for dinner. Mackenzie fell in love with the Pool-We will
have to come visit in the summer so she can swim. I think Mackenzie
had her first crush on little Albert, she wanted him to hold her and
called him chickenbutt. |

Uncle

this picture before Stella realized what was happening. |
Here
we are outside, the girls were in their glory all the Californians were in
the house freezing. |

Cousin
Albert and little Albert and Mackenzie. Oh my God I think Uncle
Jimmy has a cup of coffee, I think he started chocking shortly after he
took the first drink! |

and Uncle Jimmy on the front porch. I hope their heating bill didn't
go sky hi since we left the door open most of the evening. |
The
Albert Romero gang. The one on the left is Michelle (?) ( we asked
Uncle Jimmy for help spelling the girls names). |

In
our car seats going home for the night. The van is nice to drive
around town, Mackenzie thinks its a little play house because it has a TV
set right in front of her. Madeline has adjusted well to her car
seat. Everyone in California says hello to everyone in Denver.
Mom I have a gift for you from Stella and Albert. Tomorrow we are
supposed to go to Mountain Lakes where Uncle Jimmy has a lot. I
guess we can fish, or just play. But Uncle Jimmy keeps saying
"pretty soon" what does this mean? Carisa I thought
about you when we passed Verdugo Country Club.
P.S. - I miss Group 255 especially Phil. Hey Phil if you read
this I'm having Dove bar withdrawals. I still have the Clif
bars! Once we get back home can you drop us a few bars at the house? |

March 14, 2001 - Mountain Lakes
Day |
Today
is Mountain Lakes day. The girls had a great time, we drove around
and played at the play land and had a picnic. |

Madeline
and mommy shared a bed, or Mommy got to sleep on part of the bed. |
Daddy
and Mackenzie shared a bed. When we get home we're going to have to
get a bigger bed. Do they make anything bigger than a king? |

I
should have put daddy with both girls so I could have a bed to myself. |

Watching
the girls play. Mackenzie had lots of sand in her diaper and
hair. Madeline loved grabbing at the sand. She also loved the
slide. |

So
how did she get the sand in her pants, I wonder. |
Uncle
Jimmy took us for fish tacos and Mackenzie loved dancing to the Mexican
music. |

Dancing
to the music. Mackenzie looked like a Trinidad kid, dirty and having
a blast. For those of you who want to greet us at the airport we
will arrive Thursday March 15 at 14:30, Frontier flight 536.
Mackenzie has been asking me what color her room is, she misses her
room. Mackenzie is looking forward to having ice cream at the
airport. Our time in California has been a godsend. I think
the girls internal clocks are adjusted finally. For the most part
they sleep through the night. I think we will be ready for all the
airport greeters. The honeymoon is over Rhonda. I enjoyed my
trip this year and I'm not desperate to get home because I know room
service and laundry is over. Rhonda, I'm already envious of your
trip in June. |
