Test
Just read your adoption story of Madeline. What is so amazing is that our first daughter, adopted from Hunan in October, 1996, is named Mackenzie. We are almost to the DTC stage for little sister. We have almost decided on the name "Madison" (to be called Maddie) for this one. It seems very Karma-like that I would read your story today, as I woke up this day thinking it was special. Maybe little sister was born today? Anyway, I really enjoyed your web site. Brought back a lot of memories. We are planning to take Mackenzie with us to China, and it was good to read that your "Mackenzie" had a great trip. I think it will help the bonding process immensely! Did you find that to be so? I think an older sister can act as a sort of "bridge" to facilitate the bonding! Anyway, congratulations on your two beautiful daughters. Also, our Mackenzie is similar to yours, it seems. She is a real charmer--never saw a stranger--and I can just imagine what she will be like in China. Best of luck to you and your beautiful family!
Just a note to say hopefully we will be posting the site once again. I got a new digital camera for my birthday that will make downloading pictures easier, now all we need is some time. We are fairly busy with two little ones. We celebrated the 4th of July (this is now known as Mackenzie Day-the day she was placed in my arms) by going to breakfast, a movie, and Casa Bonita (kids love this place). The girls are doing great, Mackenzie is still at odds with her sister-one minute she likes her the next NOT. All in all they get along pretty well. Madeline just adores Mackenzie, she follows her all over the place. Madeline is very animated, smiles a lot and loves to give hugs. We enjoy our two treasures immensely and would very much like to add a third if we weren't so tired.
Hi, I'm Jan Schick. I got this e-mail address from the Rasmussens'. I hope I spelled that right. My husband John and I are in the process of adopting our third child. This adoption is through CCAI. They gave me a list of people who traveled JiangXi province to adopt children from YuGan Orphanage. That's where we're going this time. We're getting pretty excited. CCAI just received the travel notices. We should be hearing pretty soon about the travel plans. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed looking in on your site and hearing your adventures and seeing your beautiful children. We're eager to go. Jan
hi friends of the Guays. loved the website thanks so much. best of luck with your beautiful girls.
Hi, I am a friend of Donna's. I'm so glad she shared your web site with me. Congratulations to all of you. And enjoy each other through life's adventures.
Congrats to our dear friends in Denver, the Rasmussens! Hope to hear/see you soon! Jeff & Kim
Donna gave me your website address -- and I am so glad she did. What a wonderful site! Your babies are beautiful!!
I e-mailed earlier and left off the last part of my e-mail address.
Received a letter and picture of Kim, Susan, and Rachel yesterday. I am so happy for them. I cried tears of joy!!!! What an awesome experience and such a wonderful blessing for them and all the other families on this trip. I am a cousin to Kim and am in the Air Force. I am assigned to the Family Support Center at Offutt AFB in NE. I brought the picture sent to me to work and shared the experience of Kim and Susan with my co-workers. They to appreciate this is such a wonderful blessing. One of our Family Life Coordinators in the Center is currently coordinating with civilian agencies to assist our military families in the adoption process. I will be in touch with Kim and Susan since our coordinator would really enjoy hearing about their process and the agencies involved.
Dear all
Mandy, Mike, Esther, and Lily (the English family in Nanchang), send their best wishes from the Mother Country!
We took a look at the web site today ? it?s quite something. How does one set up such a site?
Your site has enabled us to look at our experience through other people?s eyes, and we only wish that we had been able to do something like this for our friends and family. No one who has followed your progress can fail to have a greater understanding about the great journey that you all traveled, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
It was interesting to read about your progress in Guanghou, particularly the up chucking!
Perhaps you would like to have an update on our little bundle?s progress.
Esther missed all her little friends when you all left, although there was a lot more spaghetti for her to eat (Phil). The Dining room was strangely quiet and lacking in the constant hub-hub of families getting to know each other. Instead, we were left with the interminable ring and trill of mobile phones.
We moved on to Beijing a couple of days after you guys left, where we enjoyed an all too brief stay in sumptuous accommodation. We were astonished by the change in Beijing that has occurred over the last three years. It really could be mistaken for any city in the world. At night, the illuminated buildings are every bit as impressive as New York. Moreover, the designer shops. Wow! We would heartily recommend that Beijing be worth a visit if you have the opportunity. It provides a very Western friendly view of China. Beijing is the Candidate City for the 2008 Olympics so they have made a real effort to modernize their image. Nevertheless, we are glad that we had the chance to see it three years ago before it cleaned itself up. The two visits provide an interesting contrast.
The flight home was uneventful. We didn?t get an up-grade, but Esther proved herself a seasoned traveler eating and sleeping at regular intervals. The only problem with this was that she was still on China time when we arrived home and, as a consequence she decided that 23.0hrs was a good time to get up and play for several hours. There is surprisingly little to do in the small hours of the night when you have neither cable nor satellite TV.
The following day Esther was united with her older sister Lily (aged three). Esther, positioned in the middle of the floor was suspiciously circumnavigated by Lily. Ten minutes later, all doubts dispelled, Esther found herself sitting on Lily?s lap. They are now fast friends and Lily tends to be protective of her younger sibling.
Esther has been laid low this week with a virus and a very high temperature, leaving her to feel very sorry for herself. She?s better now and seems to be eating us out of house and home. The weight is piling on and she now weighs 17lb 6oz
If, at the beginning of the adoption process, we had written down our aspirations for our daughters we would have failed to estimate the joy that they have brought to our lives. We would recommend it to anyone.
We would very much like to hear from, and reply to, as many of you who have the time (does anybody have free time anymore) and the inclination to write to us using the attached email address. Details of your children?s development are eagerly awaited.
Take care of yourselves ? and your parents. We hope to have news from you soon
Mike, Mandy, Lily and Esther Crossley
Just because you are home, doesn't mean you can quite posting pictures. I am waiting anxiously for more. Let me know when you are feeling up to company or maybe you would like to come over here for dinner one night. Let me know how you are feeling.
Hi all!
Now, we are all home and well adjusted? I miss the spaghetti dinners and pizza lunches, not to mention the dove chocolate bars!
We can't thank you enough (so we won't) for doing the web site. You made all of the girls web stars. Sandrine is now going out on tour.
We hope coming home was easy and that your trip to Wally world was as good as the photo's.
Keep in touch abd let's get together over photo's, pizza and kit kats!
Phil
Thank you so much for stopping and visiting with us here in California. Your family is beautiful and I wish you all the very best. I hope you enjoyed your stay and hope you will all come back soon. I loved all the pictures and thanks for making me apart of them. LOVE, VALERIE ROMERO
Thank you for sharing your trip with us, it made the waiting much easier. We really enjoyed meeting you at the airport. I think Lillia was extremely happy to see you, don't you agree? What am I going to do. :-) I know where to find a babysitter, but then, she may never want to come back home. I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE HOME, yes, I am screaming. Maybe we can do dinner soon.
hi, my name is Todd Richard and I am a Flight Attendant for United Airlines. I have had the pleasure of working many "return home" trips for the many people who live on the east coast. Usually SFO-BOS. My wife and I decided to adopt from China about 18 months ago. We are told that we should be getting our referral in about 5 weeks-or at least that is the latest projection. I had the opportunity to find out about your web site from the Schells from New Hampshire Bin Bin's parents). It is exactly what we needed. The wait had been unbearable, and this site has really boosted our spirits. Thanks. We have a 3 year old at home, so we are keeping busy-doing all of the needed preparations around the house. We've decided to name our daughter Grace. We will keep you informed as to our travel plans.. thanks. Todd and Julie and lily (3)
Thank you so much for all of the hard work posting the pictures of the recent adoption trip!! Our friend, George Schell (from NH), had told us about your site so that we could follow along ... how wonderful for everyone!! Thanks again!!
Welcome home, Mary, Dan, Mackenzie & Madeline! Hope you all had a great time at Disney and are now catching up on some much needed rest. We miss you all and think of you every day. Isn't it nice to take a break from constant cameras & camcorders, though?! Just now getting in to a bit of a routine; Sara is sleeping from about 7pm until 5 or 6am. Thanks again for all you've done for our family & friends by allowing them to share this magical experience. Can't wait to do it again..... Laura & Randy & Sara Guay
One day and counting....tick tick tick.......Kalynne has been bothering more than ever. and Josh is excited because he thinks that he is going to miss karate tomorrow because he gets to go to the airport. but you know sensei Augie! He has his airport trip down to a tee and says Josh will have enough time for both- I think Josh is hoping that your plane arrives late. He is a smart boy- the things that he comes up with! He can challenge any situation. Kalynne says she loves and misses you tons. Looks like you are having a great time visiting with the Romero crew! They look great tell everyone HI for us!!! Heard the weather has been nice there. As for here you might get a traditional Colorado welcome Saturday- heard its supposed to snow. Fun Fun. Have a safe trip. Talk to you tomorrow 2:30!!!!!!!! XOXO LOL
That picture of Mackenzie (sucker on her face) is priceless!!!!!!!
Yes, it is me again. I love the Disney pictures. You must still all be healthy and I am so thankful for that. I am glad you are having fun. I have realized that once you are home, the honeymoon is over. We are still tired, but feeling more human everyday. Dennis gets to go to Florida the second and third week in June so we are going with him. It is nice to know that our kids might enjoy Disney World. We are going to go there and all of those other places. I am so excited that we get to go somewhere pretty soon. Having been to China and back, life here can be a little boring. The highlight of this week will be meeting you at the airport. Take care and keep posting. We still miss you. P.S. It looks like Madeline has quite the hair-do. Her and Lillia should get along well.
Congratulations on a successful trip! Can't wait to meet Madeline in person! She is just adorable! Glad her and Mackenzie are doing well! We have really enjoyed reading about your trip!
Hello LA: Maryann called me Saturday night to tell us you had arrived in LA and Uncle Jimmy had gone to pick you up at the airport. The kids had gone to the movies and I was babysitting Benjie. I tried to call mom but she was at her friend Chris', I guess Chris will be moving real soon so Mom was helping her pack. I got a hold of her on Sunday, she expected you to arrive on Sunday afternoon, so she was glad to hear that you were in the U.S. now. The girls look like they are just having a great time and are probably wondering where Mom & Dad will take them next.... Well, tell everyone there in LA hello from all of us here in Denver. I was glad to see Uncle Jimmy keeping up with his household chores. I'll check in tomorrow to see how well Uncle sweep that patio (I will be telling La La) Have a great time and again give are love to the WHOLE GANG!!!!!!! My journey afar is coming to an end. Oh well it was fun, See you soon.. Shirley
I'm the friend of Katherine and Phil's from Winnipeg, Canada - once again please let me tell you how wonderful it has been to follow all of you through this website - somehow I really do feel like I've been living it with you. I hope you have caught up on some much needed sleep and I will be anxious to hear about Katherine and Phil via their own email now - just won't be quite as timely as what yours has been - it's become a part of my day to check and see what was happening with everyone! Enjoy those lovely girls at home now!
Thanks for the pictures, I feel better now. I can't believe that you are staying in CA for so long. This is torture! I am counting the days until you come home. Please put more pictures on.
Glad to hear your trip went well. Enjoy your time in California. We still need to see pictures over here, all we have to look at is this crappy snow. Can you tell we are jealous? Vacation is almost over. Hey Dan look, I do know how to use the computer. I just don't have very good grammar skills. See you soon.
Nina, Nino I will see you at the airport for ice cream. Are Madeline and Mackenzie having fun? I love the picture of the boat, what does my boat look like?
I need more pictures! I am going through withdrawal over here. What are you doing in CA, sleeping, visiting with relatives?
To Katherine, Phil and Sandrine, Well the journey ends but it only just beginning. Congratulations and thank you for letting us share in your excitement. I looked forward to checking the web site every day. Rest up, there is a lot more fun ahead. All the babies are beautiful. Linda
She's a doll. I can't wait to hear all about your trip and how Mackenzie likes her new sister.
As parents in waiting, we would like to thank you for sharing your journey. We found it quite informative and enjoyable. Vicariously joining you on your travels helped allay some of our anxiety of the unknown and is making us even more excited for when our turn finally comes. We hope you arrived home safely and are enjoying your family.
Welcome to US soil- How does it feel to be so close to home? 5 more full days and counting. Hope your flight was better than the last- how is Madeline feeling this time? I am sure you packed a carryon full of clothes this time! Have fun in Disneyland.
To Randy and Laura,
This web is great? It is very nice that we can have see all of it. hope to see you sone.
Love
Thank you to the Geists for this web site. Some days I have had it up all day waiting for new things to be posted. It's been like a soap opera for me - I can't stay away from it! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and it's wonderful to know that your reward is that beautiful little girl. Congratulations to all of you!
KP (Kathrine) and Phil, Congratulations. Loved the pictures and I am so very excited for you. We will really have to make the effort to come down and see you or even visit when you are in Wpg. Have a safe and uneventful trip home. Love Allison and Jerry
Hey Geists!!! We are so glad that you are on your adventure home- we cant wait. Thanks for the pictures- it has felt like we have experienced this trip with you and we look forward to hearing what happened everyday. Yesterday I wanted to go to DQ with Kalynne (I lost my voice and my throat hurts) because ice cream sounded like a good soother. But Kalynne said we had to wait until we picked up nina and nino from the airport. So I had to go home and suck on a nasty stale gummy Popsicle- probably from two summers ago. Kalynne is planning on having chocolate. Yum Yum. I don't know if she is more excited about the ice cream or your home coming. HEY DAN!!!!! We promise to bring over Pizza Depot your first weekend home!!! Sound good? Well sounds like you are ready to come home- and Colorado is ready to have you. Have a safe trip- XOXO
Laura and Randy! Hello!! Congratulations. I called Janice and Don to see if you had left for China yet. Yes! And your mom gave me the Web site. Sara is darling! I am so happy for you. Your friends -- Hello Friends Dan and Mary -- are terrific for making this web site to share the excitement and wonder of the whole experience. Dan and Mary Thank you! It seems after viewing your experience together, that you will all be life time friends.... Laura and Randy, hope to see you sometime maybe in this spring or summer! (We are heading south to FL next week.) And I know that Sara will have a playmate...I heard that Alani has arrived! Love to you all, Your cousin, Carol (Ann)
Dear Dan & Mary
Thanks so much for doing this! We have really enjoyed it!
Sincerely
Sandrine's #1 fans
PS Phil is our favorite!
Wow, what great pictures! I love the close-ups of all of the babies, thank you! I am glad that my money was appreciated in Guangzhou when we were there. I wish we were there right now. I can't wait until we can meet you at the airport and eat ice cream, I wish you weren't staying so long in LA. Take care of yourselves, we miss you.
Sue and Kim, This web site is the coolest. What fun to see you and your darling little Rachel as you are traveling and experiencing all those cool things. We are looking forward to meeting Rachel soon and are planning a shower when you are here. Details will follow. I'm heading to Arizona on Wed. to meet my sisters and parents there (they will be in Las Vegas earlier in the week.) Many thanks to the people who are doing the web site - it is so fun!!! Love, Carol
Wow!!!!! I can't believe Linda went shopping and by HERSELF, know wonder I had such a terrible rash last week, it's because you were out doing that S thing. I have to agree with my mom it has been great looking at the pictures everyday, even just hearing about what you are doing. We are glad to see the girls looking good and everyone is still feeling good. Hope Madeline feels better soon. Tell Dan hi, and give the girls a kiss for us.
It looks as if you will all be heading home soon! Congratulations on a well documented trip. We have really enjoyed following all of you. Can't wait for our New Hampshire Girls to arrive!
Hi to Katherine, Phil and sweet Sandrine. We are sure enjoying the pictures and check the web every day at home and at work. I just printed off a bunch of pictures to show Alex Lysack tomorrow and Ann and I were just at Audrey Swan's with pictures. everyone is so amazed at the good quality for the website. Thanks so much again to the Geists for letting us share in your wonderful experience. You all look so so happy. Probably getting tired and ready to come home now. I found our what Cliff bars are, Phil and am trying one out tomorrow! Love the play-day pics Katherine on the 5th great shots of Sandrine. Have a safe trip home. we'll be thinking of all of you. LOVE PEGGI oxoxoxox
This message is for Kim and Susan Rasmussen (and Rachel). Angie just showed me this web page yesterday. I think it's awesome! It's great to see the pictures of all the people and their new babies! Susan, I was very touched by the first picture I saw of you holding your little Rachel - it was so emotional! What a blessed time for everyone, and I'm so happy for all of you! Can't wait until you bring her into the office (I told Angie to be sure and let me know when that happens). Take care and have a safe trip back to the U.S. Love, Terri
Hi Kim, Susan and Rachel! Girl Kim passed along this website address and we owe her a thousand thanks! It has been terrific to see a small part of what you're enjoying over there -- we check the site almost every day! I cried when I saw the pictures the first time -- she's beautiful! Thought you might want to hear that John E. is doing fine -- no accidents (knock on wood) and Melinda and Courtney are paying plenty of attention to him -- they both think he's a riot! We're so anxious to see all of you and wish we would be around for your first week at home! We'll see you before we head to AZ though.
Thanks again for letting us "join" you on this trip of a lifetime!
Miss you all!
Steve, Marva and kids
Sheryl gave me your website address. Loving all the pictures & stories. I'm thrilled for all of you. I've always thought Mackenzie looks like Mary; & I just saved as my wallpaper a shot of them both where Madeline's big smile is exactly like her Dad's!!! Sheryl told me ARMI is moving. We should have a reunion - would love to see all of you. Good Luck & God Bless the China Dolls! Love, Judi (home e-mail address: blue-wilson@juno.com)
Hi Katherine & Phil! You all look great! Sandrine looks so precious! Just another 3 days and you'll be back home in Denver! I will be leaving for Calgary Tuesday, March 13th. I will give you a call from there. All's well here. It's finally warming up - awfully cold winter. Must go...have a safe & happy trip home! Thinking of you, Sandy
Mary, maybe both girls will be shorter than you but I doubt it. I have always been shorter than everyone in my family except for Deserae who is shorter than me but she is still young and could grow more.
Hi Susan, Kim & Rachel, We've truly been enjoying this website and checking it daily. I gave the website to Michelle Elliott and Cheree and Crystal, as well as my sisters and they check it daily also. Everyone is very anxious for you to come home. We are having beautiful spring weather in CO and the kids love it. The kids and I have nasty colds/flu bugs that stay in the lungs for a long time-hopefully it's gone by the time you get home. I've received a few RSVP's: Desiree & Jay are a yes; Steve & Marva will be out of town; GK & Steve are not sure as they have plans for lunch with an aunt & uncle. I will send out an invitation to Dave & Michelle. I have been eating Chinese food for the past week - actually some has been Tai. I'm trying to beat this cold with lots of vegetables - and that Zinc spray you told me about. Rachel is such a doll! Logan wants her to move into his room because he just got big boy bunk beds yesterday and he wants a roommate. Dylan wants Rachel to come over for tea. He is concerned that she may be too little, though, and she might spill! Have you talked to her about the belly button ring? We love & miss you and can't wait to see you! Logan, Dylan, Jay & Mary
The group has moved from Nanchang to Guangzhou, it was a very tiring trip for all, they will start posting pictures again tomorrow after a well deserved and hopefully good night of rest.
Hey Y'all! This is directed at the Guay Family and their wonderful new friends. No update yesterday? I assume you were beat from your evening of travel. Hope all is well. Snowstorm not as bad as expected in the lower NE states, but NH got hammered. Still no word on Diane. I'm sure we'll have info as soon as your niece/nephew arrives. Miss you. Love you. See you soon. Jeanette
Gosh, another week and you'll be back home. I will miss checking this web site every morning when I get to work, - I'll have to work!! The pictures have been great and to see the other families with their babies has been a real warm and emotional feeling. Even though we are miles away this web site has made it possible for us to be with you and enjoy this occasion. Thank you Dan and Linda. I can hardly wait to see Madeline and Benjamin team up. I think they both will make great little dragons. Poor Augie will have his hands full. Tell Mackenzie hello, I think she has really enjoyed herself, I am glad you took her with you. We send our love to all.
Phil & Katherine....we can't wait until you get home and bring your 'angel' with you...Don't come back without her...we love you...Cheryl & Ernie
Looks like everyone is having fun despite of being exhausted. Thanks so much for putting time into this site- K and I have so much fun seeing what is up each day! Looks like you have yourself a Benj- Just think, next trip (If you decide you can handle another) it wont be just Mackenzie unwrapping and sucking all the suckers before you leave. But I have this feeling that Madeline will be even more troublesome. Have fun on the plane- keep us posted. Miss you Love you x0x0x0 the Sanchez family
Hi Katherine and Phil! Sandrine is beautiful, and although I'm sure you're exhausted, you look absolutely radiant! I am so excited to celebrate with a baby shower when you return. Enjoy the remainder of your trip. Love, Janet

I love the pictures! I hope you can post tomorrow, I will miss it if you don't. Can you please take a close-up of Madeline? I love the pictures but I am having to squint to see the babies. Have fun in Guangzhou and remember to eat fried vermicelli with beef at the Noodle Place, yummy. Also try the Osmanthus Milk Shake there. Say hi to Sunny at the store next to the 7-11. Say hi to Michael at the Dragon Shop. My dad wants a 3 foot tall Ming Dynasty Vase, can you swing that?
Nina how are you doing today? When I pull the last circle on my chain you will be home. I miss you.
Randy and Laura, Looks like you are having a wonderful time.. This web site is the greatest. Thanks for all the work your are doing to get the pictures on it. It looks like you do trash restaurants!!!!
Hi Susan and Kim, CONGRATULATIONS on becoming parents. I am a little confused, did you adopt 2 little girls? I thought you were only adopting one. But from what I gather it sounds like two? When do you come back home? Look forward to meeting your new family. What a fabulous experience and what a wonderful joy for you both.
Hello my little dolls...We sure miss you. Tell daddy and mommy that we got the Christmas lights down yesterday. We did get John to help. Good thing, that is a really high roof. Tell Mommy or Daddy to just put your hotel room number on the web sight and then I can call you at the white swan. We miss all of you so much! I talked to Grandma Lucy this morning. She is missing you too! Just think, next Saturday you will at least be on U.S. soil, and a week from Thursday you will be back in our arms. We love you!
Hi Betsy. Great to hear from you. Neat to look at the photos, are you in any of them. Katy was just asking what you named your little girl. Now we know. See you Sat.
Hi Uncle Phil and Aunt Katherine! I'm so excited to have a new cousin. Sandrine is adorable! Make sure to tell her that I plan on taking her to Disneyland once she is big enough to ride Space Mountain!
Hi Kim, Susan and of course Rachel, I've been checking the web page every day. The pictures have been great! I can't wait to see you when you get back. Have a safe trip home!!!
To Katherine Pound and Phil Haas - Congratulations on Sandrine! She is so, so , so cute! I'm so excited for all of you - can't wait to meet her! Have a good trip home and enjoy your few more days! Mimi Leonard
For Katherine Pound and Phil Haas - congratulations...she looks great, and Katherine you haven't changed at all! Enjoy yourselves and enjoy being a family. Drop a line when you get home.
So what time will this crew be arriving in Denver? I'd like to be there to welcome you back.
Hello again!! This is a message directly from Kelvin High School!! My friend Aneta and I are ooing and awing over the cute little babies! Especially Sandrine!!! EEEE! The weather here has started to warm up and I can finally wear my sneakers outside! It looks pretty nice in China...wow, I still can't believe you are still over there. I will keep checking this site until you get home!! Until then, I Love YOU!!
Hi Kim & Sue and Rachel, we can't wait to see you when you come home. Dustin is so excited, he will have a actual person to play with now. He has already claimed her as "his Baby". We will see you in a week.
Hello from New Hampshire. I just wanted to say thank you for keeping your website updated with pictures and information over the last week and a half. My sister and brother-in-law, Laura & Randy Guay, are in your group. It has been great checking in on them everyday. All of their family and friends have been able to keep up with them as well so thanx again!
Hello to the Pound-Haas family, from a very happy Grandpa and Grandma Pound - we're over at Ann and Alan's typing this as our computer hasn't been able to pick everything up. But we've seen all the pictures, printed some and taken them to church to show off our beautiful new granddaughter. Everyone is thrilled about her. And we do want to say thanks so much to the Geist family for making all this possible. We look forward to seeing you all in Denver in the spring. Love and safe travel. Mom and Dad Pound
Hello Group 255. Sounds like the mountain trip was wonderful. Thank you again for this website for all of us to keep track of our loved ones. This message is especially for Laura,Randy & Sara Guay. Hi guys, it's weirdo Jeanette again. I can't get you out of my head so I run to the website and my email several times daily to see the new glimpses of you and your new family of friends. Interesting stuff. And thoroughly heartwarming too. Miss you and can't wait to come to NH and kiss that beautiful little charmer. Love Jeanette
Well I guess the Geist's might be like the Madrid's now. It's amazing what one little body can do for trying to get ready to go somewhere, especially, when you are in a little bit of a hurry. Looks like you have yourself a Benjamin!!! Good Luck. They get wigglier. We can't wait to see everyone and of course the neat gifts. (ha! ha!) Josh will be glad to hear about the boat, he can hardly wait to go to the airport and have ice cream nino. Give the girls a kiss for us, take care and enjoy.
Can't wait to meet the newest member of your family. Wishing you both the best and God be with you on your journey. This new age of communication makes it seem as thou your just around the corner. (even if it is half way around the world.) Good luck! Look forward to hearing more updates.
I'm so glad I found the "guest book" -- you know I'm technically challenged and the fact that it doesn't show on my computer screen certainly doesn't help matters -- I almost missed "talking" to you guys. As everyone before has already said -- the site, the pictures, the on-going commentary is absolutely fantastic!! I've shared the site with a number of folks here, and we've set aside time (you know, the "daily update meeting" at 9:00 a.m. wink wink) to follow your adventures. Seeing all the babies and new parents brings tears of happiness to my eyes and an ear-to-ear smile -- it brings much joy to all of us a half a world away!! You all look great, sound great . . . and I'm happy to hear everyone is well and you haven't had to eat chicken toes, beaks, feathers, and God knows what else, this time around (or maybe you have and have just spared us)! Hugs and kisses to all, especially you, Mackenzie and Madeline :) :) Mackenzie -- Pele is waiting to see you and have you introduce him to your new little sister, you'll have to show her how to keep the cage locked!! Love you guys . . . can't wait to see you!! (PS - We may get the Christmas lights down this weekend -- WooHoo!)
Hey Phil & Katherine - So is there something wrong with being in the corner? At least you were in the same room! Seeing these photos is great!
We sure enjoyed seeing these pictures of Sue, Kim and Rachel. We are at the computer lab at A. Marilyn and U. Len's RV resort. Can't wait to see the real thing!
So many people are following your adventures! Hi to Katherine, Phil, and Sandrine. Phil, sorry, I'm laughing about the new dad reactions ;-) And, Rasmussen family, I ran into some friends of yours, the Sanderson's, who are now sharing your joy as well. I'm almost becoming a junkie...got to check this site daily!
Forgot your camera? Sounds familar, doesn't it? Batteries dead? Sounds real familar, I remember getting some heat from someone (who shall remain nameless) when we did the same thing. Dan, where is your hair dye? Your roots are showing. :-) I hope you are still all feeling well, I say my prayers for you everyday.
Hey travelers! Dan- I don't know if you plan on using your CO dialup number when you get into LA on the 10th. If you do- use my account instead: User Name: csanchez@interfold.com (use the entire name) Password: xxxxxx Dialup numbers to use: LA- 213.286.0155 or 323.410.0155, Baldwin Park- 626.608.0155, Beverly Hills area- 310.362.0155 and Burbank- 818.751.0155 If you need additional numbers let me know. Tia- Had breakfast with PEPS yesterday- everyone says HI!!!!! and they hope you are having fun! Mackenzie and Madeline- We cant wait till you get home. LOL
Jon and Tamra, You are in my thoughts every day, and I am thrilled to hear that things seem to be going well. Michelle and I received the fax, THANK YOU! (we have since talked on the phone a bit.) I can so identify with what it sounds like you are feeling... this sense of completeness, of being the family you were meant to be. When we went to get Adrienne, the way we filled a table for four just thrilled me, and it felt so RIGHT. It didn't matter what difficulties we might face, I just knew she was supposed to be right where she was, in our family. Your fax seemed to convey that same feeling -- the joy of being a family of four, of finally meeting the last piece. I hope you are loving every minute, even the minutes when Nataya may be having doubts! Maybe "on Mother's Lap" will help, or maybe Tamra thinks I set her up : ) !! Anyway, I hope you can continue to enjoy your trip. Are you shopping, Tamra? Colorado is getting a bit of snow here and there, but no huge news here. The last three of the "Texan Seven" went back to Texas, the Girl Scout cookies have arrived, and there was a fire on Colorado College's campus of a new building that is under construction. That's about it. You might have heard that there was a fairly strong earthquake up in the Seattle area (thankfully the epicenter was 35 miles beneath the earth's surface), but the city seems to be handling it well. That's where Catherine lives these days. Well, I'm sending you warm thoughts. Have a fabulous time, hold the memories you are making close to your hearts, and then come home. We can't wait to welcome you back. with warm congratulations, Libby for all
How do you every have time to read your comments, they are wonderful. I am so happy that you are out and about and enjoying yourself. Only 2 more weeks to stay healthy! It sounds like Madeline is doing great although tiny. Lillia weighed just under 17 lbs at the medical in Guangzhou. The smallest baby in our group had the most teeth. Take care. Justin and Bryce say HI!
Thank you SO MUCH for making this web site available for all of us "friends & families!" I'm a friend of the Rasmussen's -- Rachel is beautiful! All the babies are precious. I can't believe how emotional I get when I see you all with your new babies. I logged on for the first time on Tuesday and was surprised and delighted to already see pictures of all the babies! Even though I'm half way around the world, seeing the photos and reading about your journeys makes me feel so much closer to you all. Thank you for that special gift. Please tell the Rasmussen's I'm happy (beyond words) for them. Love and hugs. cindy
First of all I want to thank Dan and Mary for making this website possible. It is fantastic. I'm a friend of Susan, Kim and Rachel Rasmussen. Having the opportunity to see the photos of the new families is so touching. Please tell the Rasmussen's I can't wait until they get home, I'm so excited to see Rachel. She looks like a little angel. Safe journey to all. Cheers, Tom Brown (AKA Zippy)
My name is ANGELA LIN, I'm Jennifer Lin's sister. I'm living this trip vicariously. Thanks so much for these photos and for sharing your valuable space. What a nice thing you've done for all of us back home. Have a safe return
Hello Family of Three, Got your message this morning. It sounds like everything is going better than planned! Its so exciting! Good Morning Sandrine, Katherine & Phil (or is it Good Night, Sleep Tight??) What a wonderful web site! Thank you to the Geist Family! All the pictures and stories are incredible! Imagine being in China! Wow! Sandrine, you are a beautiful little girl. I can't wait to see you in early May!! As you will find out, Sandrine, you have wonderful, caring parents! God has truly blessed you! I only today realized (a blonde moment) that I could be sending you emails. I would have 'talked' to you earlier. Here I am at work - 9:30 a.m. - Thursday. Katherine, how are you? You look like the perfect mommy! I am so thrilled for the 3 of you. Phil, Shauna really digs that hat of yours! Did you know Shauna is being transferred to Calgary, beginning work April 2nd? I am so excited for her! Well, I must go - work calls - will talk to you from home. Sandy says HI! (I apologize for this email - it seems so disjointed.) Good Luck to Everyone! Love, Sandra
This is all too cool! Madeline is a cutie! The photos of her and Mackenzie are precious. We're all enjoying the photos - keep it up if you can.
PS - I need a need a new Kung Pao Chicken recipe. Can you help?

A great big and WARM Winnipeg "Hi" to Katherine & Phil!! What a wonder this is - humanly and technically!!! Looks like you're having an experience of a lifetime. The best and warmest wishes as you guide this wonderful gift through her life!! Love, Sheila, David, Joshua, Aaron, and Jenna. ps. Jenna can hardly wait to play with her new playmate!! pss. Thank you for including Katherine, Phil, & Sandrine in your website.
This is truly the most wonderful gift you can give to not only your family & friends, but all of the other's families & friends. This message is first to all of you lucky and very special people who have reached out half way around the world to share your love with these precious children. Congratulations to all of you. On a purely personal note this is for my cousin Laura Guay & her stalwarth husband Randy. " I cried when I saw the first photos". I'm so touched and excited there really is no way to express my feelings to you. I giggle, I weep, I soar for you and your new package of life. Kiss her for me, and send my congratulations to big brother, Gavin. xxxxoooo Jeanette
The girls look wonderful. Madeline is such a smiley baby. I can't wait for her and Lillia to crawl all over together. Keep enjoying yourself and the food. Stay healthy. We get to speak at a CCAI orientation on the 10th, should be fun.
This message is for Kathy Pound and Phil and Sandrine, Kathy, Linda forwarded the web page to me and I have been following your progress in China! Congratulations to both Phil and yourself on the adoption of your daughter. She's beautiful. All the best, Brenda Hurley (Linda's sister)
Hey guys! Madeline is just adorable! Congratulations!! Can't wait to meet her! Looks like you are having a great time!
Hi Laura, and Randy we have the pictures posted all over the office. Your Mom and Dad took some home yesterday so they could show off the new granddaughter.
This is so great! I can't tell you how many hours I've spent looking at all the babies and their happy parents! Tell Martha and George that their kitties are doing very well. I bought some new toys and kitty litter (I hate the perfumy smell from the her stuff and I think Maggie may be getting an allergy like Molly had) from Martha's aunt today and she wanted to hear all about BinBin. She isn't able to get the web site so she will probably come here tomorrow.
Needless to say I wasn't surprised when I heard that "Uncle" Phil was spoiling the other babies! I can't wait to see more pictures of Sandrine! Everyone looks so happy! Oh, Aunt Katherine, make sure that Phil gets his share of dirty diapers to change, kay? I love all of you and I'm counting down the days until Mom and I get to fly on over! Best wishes.
Thanks for the wonderful pictures and the stories. Madeline is beautiful, just like her big sister! What a beautiful family! Take Care and have a great trip home.
Hello to Susan & Kim Rasmussen, I am so happy to be able to share this experience with you through the internet. Rachel is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy for all of you. I cried when I saw the pictures. I shared the site with my sisters Laura, Paula and Julie. All three said to wish you their best and to express their happiness to you. I also called Dick and MaryAnn to see whether they had internet access. MaryAnn said they did not, but a neighbor has access. I gave her the address and told her about the pictures. She started to cry on the phone and was going to go to her neighbor's house right away. She is one VERY excited and happy grandma! Enjoy the rest of your trip and your special, sweet Rachel. I can't wait to see all of you and to hold Rachel. Love and hugs and kisses to you! Mary and "the boys"
I can't tell you what a wonderful experience this is - looking at those beautiful pictures and reading all your comments. It seems like we are right there with you. At long last... I made time to update your page.
Mackenzie, You have a new house now, you were spoiled during the holiday seasons, and now your getting ready to meet your new sister. You think you should have candy for every meal, and one of your favorite things to eat is butter and as we found out yesterday, butter cream icing. You are one of the greatest things that has happened to everyone's life, and you love to entertain everyone!!! Love you!!!!
Hey Mackenzie, it's getting close to little sister time. I hope you adjust OK with all the changes we've made in the last few months. This is going to be a fun Christmas because you really enjoy the lights. I think Christmas will be fun for everyone this year because of you. I love you my baby!

Mackenzie I promise to put up more pictures as soon as possible. I truly love you so much.
Mackenzie it has been one year since we've been a family and I can't imagine anything better in life. I looked back on our trip to China and all the emotions come flooding back like it was yesterday. I love you so much. I love to look into you eyes, watch you sleep, and of course make you laugh. Hope you had a Happy Mackenzie Day-I know we did.
Today is Mackenzie day!!!! One year ago today, you met your parents for the first time. You have grown so much in the past year. We love your laugh and all the comic things that you do!! You are so special to all of us, we thank your parents for making the decision to adopt you. Our life is now more complete with you in it. You are truly our very very special bundle from China!!! Love you so much!!!
Dan, Mary & Mackenzie- This is a great web page! Thank you for giving me the address to see it! Amy Godek SheaHomes
Mackenzie you are about to celebrate your first Christmas. I'm sorry the decorations are not abundant this year, but you don't seem to notice them that much, so I'm safe for now. I will have to decide what to do next year about a tree! This is also a great time of year because you are almost walking on your own, with only minor bumps and bonks. Things you love are soda pop and your daddy! I guess I'll just give you a can of pop and you can sit on dada's lap. This is the cheap Christmas-I better enjoy!
Mackenzie, I am so glad that I get to spend your very first Christmas with you and your mom and dad at grandma and grandpas' house. You are our gift. It is so great to get to spend so much time with you and watch you grow everyday. I love you so much!!! Auntie Karen
Mackenzie, Here we go again, I think you've been to the airport more times (since July) than most people do in a life time!!! This time you're off to Florida, and this time I get to go with you!!! Grandma and Grandpa too!!! Boy are we going to have fun!!!!
Hi Dan! Great Web Action! I ought to do something like that! What program do you use to build your web page? Was it difficult? It's a great way to keep us out here in Califonee in touch with ya'll back in the hills. Happy Holidays to all, Scoot wmaustin@home.com
For those of you who diligently keep looking for new pictures-we apologize. Our life since we got back from China is hectic. Taking care of Mackenzie takes all our time-and we would not have it any other way! One day I will learn how to update this web page because Dad's time is thinly spread. So don't give up on us yet.
I can't believe my time at home with you is coming to an end. Now I'm starting to worry, as I'm sure a thousand Mothers before me have worried. But at least I know you will be cared for by your Nina and you'll have a great time growing up with Benjamin and Josh. I hope you gain the smiles of Benj but not the volume of Josh. Soon we will begin the process of adopting you a sister!
Mackenzie, It's been wonderful being a part of your life, experiencing a visit to the doctor for 5 shots, in which I think you faired better than your mom did, being at your first birthday party at grandma and grandpa house. Now I can't wait till your mom goes back to work and I get to baby-sit and teach you all new stuff and noises!!! Love you so much, Auntie Karen
Dan And Mary I need to look at your web page to help me remember al the joys of a new baby the excitement of their arrival the joy you feel when you first see their face the worries about how to care for them and hoping you don't make a mistake. ( you will) I need to remember how it feels to love someone so strongly from your heart so much you would protect them with your own life if necessary. and I need to remember how it feels to receive a smile a giggle just because you are there and they love you because you are you. and the best of all is that *HUG* that you receive just because they love you. You are going to be such great parents you have loved every one else's children and shared with then and given your all to them. My children have been treated so wonderfully from you both you deserve all the love in the world.
PS. Wake Dan up from Macs nap! Love grandma Joyce
Mackenzie!!!! I am glad to have another cousin to get in trouble with. Maybe we can eat dog cookies together like Josh and I did!! OXOXO
Mackenzie- You are the most precious child I have ever seen. Every time I see you, the more I fall in love with you. Welcome to our loving family, you have brought sunshine into all of our lives ( especially to your parents, who love you more than you'll ever know).
Oh my God, this is the most moving moment I have experienced in a long time - as I sit here at my desk with tears streaming down my face, I cannot tell you how happy I am for all three of you.
Mackenzie you are everything I hoped for and more. I feel like I have a purpose in life now. I'm truly enjoying being at home with you. It's so much fun to play with you, feed you, bathe you, and love you! I even enjoy waking up at night to check on you!
found the page, she is as pretty as last night.
I scrolled through the pictures fast to make sure you made it home!!! It took awhile, great pictures, and there are
Best of Luck

CaiYan, I certainly hope this page works, it is getting quite late and I am running out of time. Love you, can't wait.
Mary, Dan & Mackenzie - I'm so excited for all three of you!!
Mary & Dan, I'm sure you're VERY busy right now getting ready for your exciting trip to China. I wish you all the best as you get ready for what I'm sure will be a wonderful adventure. I can imagine you're excited and nervous about the trip and meeting your new daughter. What fantastic memories your making, and I'm sure you'll have some great stories for Mackenzie when she gets older.
Mackenzie, I've seen your picture and what a beautiful little girl you are. I know you'll love it here in the good ol' USA with your new family. I can't wait to meet you.
To all of you.....Have a safe trip - keep smiling!!!!!!
Best of luck on your trip and call me when you return... She's cute but she has Dan's hair( none )
Mackenzie, I can't wait to see you on July 18th, when I pick you and your mom and dad up at the airport. We've been waiting a long time for you!! Love you Auntie Karen
