How were you able to adopt six chinese girls? I thought the limit was 4? I plan to adopt but my husband and I have to wait till we are both 30. So I have 3 years of research, and learning about how to become a good parent.

I adore Lillia!!! I would love to adopt a Chinese girl someday. I'm only 15 but still anticipating life as a single mom (for my own reasons). Do you know if they allow single parent adoption? Please let me know!! And Lillia's so cute.

Hello, I've been reading many personal adoption stories on the web and it sounds as though the adoptive parents have to pay a $3,000 "donation" to the orphanages. Is this true? Why shouldn't China be paying the adoptive parents who are adopting their unwanted babies? I'm sure China could use all the help they can get with their overpopulation problem, which they caused themselves! Your thoughts, please.

Just read your adoption story of Madeline. What is so amazing is that our first daughter, adopted from Hunan in October, 1996, is named Mackenzie. We are almost to the DTC stage for little sister. We have almost decided on the name "Madison" (to be called Maddie) for this one. It seems very Karma-like that I would read your story today, as I woke up this day thinking it was special. Maybe little sister was born today? Anyway, I really enjoyed your web site. Brought back a lot of memories. We are planning to take Mackenzie with us to China, and it was good to read that your "Mackenzie" had a great trip. I think it will help the bonding process immensely! Did you find that to be so? I think an older sister can act as a sort of "bridge" to facilitate the bonding! Anyway, congratulations on your two beautiful daughters. Also, our Mackenzie is similar to yours, it seems. She is a real charmer--never saw a stranger--and I can just imagine what she will be like in China. Best of luck to you and your beautiful family!

I can't believe all of the "thoughts" I have received, it is wonderful to hear from so many people. Thank you all for reading about the most wonderful vacation we have ever had. I want to say thank you to all of the families of our new friends who kept up with my rambling words. All of you have wonderful relatives. I will miss Linda, Kevin, Jenna, Joe, Jen, and Emma so much it brings tears to my eyes. To bad they all live so far away. We will keep in touch though. Only a day and a 1/2 before we get to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so anxious to see you and look forward to seeing you walk off that airplane! This has been incredible. I am now checking the website everyday to see your updates. Lillia is beautiful and we can not wait until you bring her home. What you have done here for her and the boys is amazing. So far your house has not burned to the ground, but we did have a fire in the open space today. I can't stand it! I didn't mean to cry, but I just did. I really don't like to admit to being sappy! Your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! I just love her! I've done nothing but think about you and what you are doing and how far in the future you are to us when you are doing stuff. Hey Rhonda I hope you get this while in China. I'm grateful you all are having such a wonderful time and our horror stories are gone from your mind. I will take an example from your experiences and enjoy myself much more come Feb/Mar when we go back to China. It is wonderful seeing all the great pictures of the babies and the happy parents. I do think you did a good thing by going early. I also think going with second timers has helped. I told you that you'd bond with whomever you went to China with. However, I really wish we would have been in your group, sounds like your having a blast. Again I can't tell you how beautiful and HAPPY your babies are.
